What happens when Saint Lewis writes/records children’s music?

For some time now my 4 year old has come up with pretty creative melodies when sitting in the backseat of our van – he just makes up songs based on whatever we’re talking about up front. I’d be lying if I didn’t say that at times his little ditties have inspired me. One day, backstage after ministering at another church, we overheard some of that morning’s musicians discussing their church’s children’s CD which they were mixing down. Almost immediately following, Cyle – my wife – found herself in a convo with some of the church staff about music for our children’s ministries, after which she turned to me and said, “I know you’re going to think I’m crazy, but I think God’s calling us to write and record some children’s songs.” Strangely, it rung true with me… I smiled and said, “Yeah…okay, let’s do it.”

So, we wrote a song – I recorded every instrument, then we brought in Anna, Taylor, & Taya – all middle school students – to lay down some vocals, and I smiled from ear to ear during every note of it! They did a GREAT JOB!

Here’s our first tune…
