King Daddy

I believe in a mighty God – an absolutely sovereign God, who is ultimately aware and in control of the minutest details of the universe – a King whose rule has no boundaries or end – who sees the end from the beginning, and by calling things that aren’t as though they are brings those things into being. However, if that’s ALL I believe about God, my faith falls short.

“The Lord your God is in your midst,
a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.”
-Zephaniah 3:17

Yes, God is sovereign, but the King is our Daddy, who loves us with an everlasting, never-giving-up sorta love – a Daddy who’d make a fool out of himself to run to us every time we turn around – a Daddy who holds us in His arms, dancing about, singing – rejoicing over us, even in our imperfection.

Yes, my King is my Daddy – and that is why I worship.
