This past week was one of the scariest my family has ever faced. The mandatory evacuation was announced, so we proceeded to clear our yard, board the windows & doors, & pack all of the important belongings we could fit into our vehicle, prepared to never return. The latest updates were calling for a direct hit – quite literally my house would take the brunt of the storm, washed away by a 9 to 12 foot storm surge, & hours of 140+ mph winds. With my children loaded into our overpacked van, my wife & I stood on the porch & thanked God for our little house which has served us so well.

Late Summer, 2002, I was touring the midwest in support of my CD at the time, when I received an urgent call. I needed to immediately make my way to St. Simons – an island off of coastal Georgia (at the time I didn’t know Georgia HAD a coast), between Savannah, GA & Jacksonville, FL. My job for the Summer?: Worldwide Discipleship Association had assigned me to oversee/disciple the college-aged guy Summer interns when the current leader had to leave due to a family emergency. On-Air Interview at Victory 91.5 in Atlanta

logoOne of my favorite radio stations is Victory 91.5 out of Atlanta. I fell in love with them while passing through Atlanta, toying with the radio dial: I heard a song by IHOP artist Misty Edwards on the radio. That is NOT so common.
